Despite the fact that there are quite a number of ASMR ear cleaing videos on Youtube, actually I’ve never seen one in which water would be poured into the ears (it’s called ear irrigation if I’m not mistaken), so that the microphones get into a direct contact with water. That’s the first thing that needed to be done in order to finally make something unconventional when it comes to videos of this kind.
Secondly, we have never had the chance to see what exactly is hapening inside the ear canal while the cleaning is being performed. In order to change that, I created a setup with cross
sections of two silicone ears. Thanks to that, the ear canals are fully exposed and you are able to see how do they look like from inside.
Fortunately I managed not to damage any of the microphones used to make this video. If I had been asked beforehand, I would have betted my kidney, that at least one microphone will be destroyed, so it was a nice surprise.
