Welcome to Ollivander’s young witches and wizards! I’m Halldis Bagsley; Mr. Ollivander’s new assistant. I hear you’re heading to Hogwarts this year, how exciting! Here comes the best part of your shopping experience — getting matched with your wand that you’ll use (hopefully!) for the rest of your magical life.
I start off with a personality test to determine where we should start looking — but wand matching isn’t an exact science…so you’ll have to test quite a few to get to The One!
Giant shoutout to the lovely Heather Feather for the big inspiration in creating this video. I used to watch Heather’s video eVERY night and just loved how she did the tiny “training wands”, so I included those in my video as well! Thank you 🙂 Check out her video here:
This roleplay was requested by my Patron Thomas!! I hope you enjoy it!! 🙂 It was such a joy to make. Being a wizard that WASN’T an established character/Hogwarts student was really really fun to do! I ended up reading about wand wood types for WAY too long hehehe.
LAST (but not least) shoutout to Shawn Saris for the edit!! It’s been such a crazy busy month — and he goes above and beyond with the special effects, so I hope you all enjoy his wonderful work 😉 You can check him out on Twitter here: (https://twitter.com/MrTheVestman)

Side note, I find that I get a lot of comments and messages about using ASMR for anxiety, depression, and more. I can totally relate with that, and ASMR is an awesome outlet for those things. However, if you’re interested, here is a link to a website with real, professional & licensed counselors. You can type to them, or call them! It’s actually a really cool service and I use it personally. It costs as low as $35 a week, and you don’t have to leave your house to use it. 🙂

I also donate regularly to The Brain and Behavior Research Foundation. I highly recommend it! They give grants to scientists who do studies to better understand and treat mental illnesses.
